Christmas Fair – Saturday 25th November 2pm – 4pm

Please do come and join our annual Christmas Fair and enjoy some Christmas cheer. We will have lots of stalls where you can buy Christmas gifts and we will be serving mulled wine and minced pies. There will be the big Christmas raffle with delicious hampers to be won and Martin Davis will be leading the singalong at the end of the fair. This is always a good fun event, and everyone is invited. Do come along and bring your family and friends. The more the merrier…

Wanted: Bottles and Chocolates for the tombola for the Christmas Fair.

We will be having two Tombola’s on the day and we need as many bottles of any kind as possible. Wine is always very good, port better and champagne dreamy – but equally we need bottles of shampoo, ketchup, vinegar, just whatever you can spare. Please have a hunt in the back of your kitchen cupboard and bring in whatever you can. We are also having a chocolate tombola, so we are asking everyone to bring in some chocolate, however big or small…

This is our second visit to the Conservative Club and they serve fantastic food and are renowned for their delicious roast potatoes.  Please pay on reception.

Please do spread the word and if you have any children or grandchildren please do bring them along. It is only £3 per visit and Santa has a present for everyone… the times and dates are: Sat 25th Nov 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd Dec 10.30am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm

Healthy Eating Course.

Due to the success of our last six-week course on Healthy Eating we are hosting another course early in the new year and the organiser, Chris Kay (A Warminster Health Trainer), is coming in on Thursday 16th November to tell us all about the new course. One of our members, Isabel Budden has lost over 15lb’s since joining the course in April of this year. Isabel said ‘I spend a lot of my time in a wheelchair or scooter and I could feel the pounds piling on and I needed someone to help me to kickstart my weight loss. Thanks to Chris and the six-week course I feel great now and I feel better able to manage my MS now I’m carrying less weight. I now transfer much better, much to the relief of my husband and family’

Clare’s Numb Bum Fund

One of our members, Clare Mould, has set up a Crowd Funding page called NO MORE NUMB

BUM to help her to pay for a standing wheelchair. This is the first time we have ever helped one of our members set up a Crowd Funding page and if you want any help with doing the same, please do ask Tori or Rosie who are more than happy to help. Clare’s NO MORE NUMB BUM page can be found at, a very interesting read…

2018 Opportunities!

We have now booked a firm date for the 2018 Skydive which is being held on Saturday 2nd June and so far we have got potentially five people interested. If you would like to take on this challenge or knock it off your bucket list just speak to Tori, she will sign you up. We also have ten of our fifteen runners for the Bath Half Marathon. If you, or someone you know would like to take part it is being held on Sunday 4th March 2018 and again, Tori can give you all the information.

Charity shop – Clothes, furniture and volunteers wanted!

The front of the East street shop is being repainted and the refurbishment is complete! We are now just waiting on more new stock and a couple of extra volunteers and then we can open up two charity shops in Warminster town centre. Do keep your bags of unwanted furniture, clothes, bric-abrac, shoes, handbags etc. coming in. We would be very grateful for any donations.

Importance Notice to regular users of the Centre.

We want to encourage our members to set up a standing order to pay donations through our bank rather than through our reception desk. This will save the Centre a significant amount in bank charges. There are standing-order forms on reception and if you need any help with this please speak to Sarah Williamson. Many other Centre’s ask for donations by standing order only and they have found that members find this much more convenient. We would really appreciate your cooperation.
